yudhis reflection about reporters

Reflection of Being a Reporter by Yudhis

To be reporters mean that we have to be good at covering, reporting and writing. We have to be healthy, energetic, active, polite and courteous, time sensitive and good at team work. Why, because reporters gather facts and write informative stories for the media and news outlet. Reporters are expected to be objective. They keep their opinions out of their stories. It's difficult in practice. The stories written by reporters should be accurate and fair to represent the people discussed in the story.Journalist is sometimes used as a synonym for "reporter." However, it can have a larger scope, as well. Anyone who writes for a news outlet can be called a journalist. When I want to be a newspaper reporter, there is one aspect I must remember, i.e. about details. To be a newspaper reporter requires more details in his efforts to present the whole story. Graphs, pie charts, photos, quotes and specific information are all part of the newspaper writer’s arsenal. Newspaper articles often contain more background information that is not presented in other media. A newspaper article includes statistics or a history on related incidents.
Newspapers have only one deadline per day. So, newspaper reporters have to be able to work on a deadline. Having a variety of sources makes for a more interesting and balanced story. The newspaper reporter is often looking for the compelling side of a story that makes for “good copy”. This means the reporter is always looking for an interesting quote, a unique angle, or a picture and photo that shows action or tells a story, to make interesting article.

My Holiday in Bandung

MY HOLIDAY STORY

It was Thursday, March 20, 2008. I went to Bandung to visit my cousin. I departed home very early in the morning. It was 5 o'clock. The traffic to Bandung was very bad because there were so many cars on the street. I arrived there at 10 a.m. I was very happy to meet with my favourite cousin, Dimas. Then, in the afternoon, I and all of the familly went to supermarket to buy so many things for the family. We also ate otak-otak after finished shopping in the supermarket. Later in the afternoon, we went home. On the way home, we were watching an avatar book 3 on the small tv in my cousin's car. Oh we did no forget to buy fruits such as strawberries, pineaples, apples, oranges and guavas. They were so yummy. I had a great time in Bandung with my wonderful cousin, Dimas.

E-Book Reflection

MY REFLECTION ABOUT E-BOOK

By Yudhis

Hello my name is Yudhis. This is my reflection about E-book. E-book is different from a normal book. An e-book does not have paper. You can open an internet and we just click the website address and we are on there. Then, we are ready to read it. For a normal book, we need to find the book at the book store first. Then, we need to buy it. The book has a lot of paper and we need to flip the paper when we read it. When I am traveling by car I cannot read e-book, so I use a normal book.

Famous Five Summary Chapter One

Chapter One - SUMMARY A GREAT SURPRISE
By Yudhis

It was the chatting between Mother, Daddy and their three children: Dick, Anne and Julian during breakfast. They talked about their planned summer holiday. The children asked if this year’s holiday, they could go to Polseath. But, the parents said “No.” This time Mother and Daddy could not spend their holiday with the kids. Daddy and Mother planned to go to Scotland. Besides, the kids are now big enough to take care of themselves. Daddy had an idea of sending them to their uncles’ family, Daddy’s brother, Quentin. The mother was surprised to hear Daddy’s idea. The children had only seen him once and had been rather frightened of him. Quentin was a very tall, frowning man, a clever scientist who spent all his time studying. He lived by the sea-called Kirrin Bay. That was about all that the children knew of him. His wife is Fanny, a very nice lady. She could look after the children. They have a daughter, Georgiana, 11 years old, the same age as Dick. They live in a nice house called Kirrin Cottage. Finally on the sunny day on Tuesday, the family all went up to Kirrin Bay to take their children to spend their vacation. On the way, the children were very happy. They sang songs and enjoyed their sandwiches until finally they arrived at Kirrin Bay.
